So here's my new M&P 9C. Did the pre-shoot clean and lube and some dry firing. Checked out the feel of all the back straps, and found the medium one felt best to me. But we'll see at the range how it is. Just wish the grip was more aggressive feeling though. Ok that's pretty much it. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160219/da4bccddfc095c56b86f0095e6ffd620.jpg

Thanks. I may end up ordering that talon grip stuff for it. But I'll try it stock first.

Nice gun! I tried the M&P 9C, the XD Compact, the Glock 19, and the Ruger SR9c. Went with the Ruger mainly because. I felt it had the best trigger of them all but really liked the ergonomics and design of the M&P 9C as well.

Soldering iron will make that grip as aggressive as you want.

Have at it.

It's just a plastic handle on a common took.

Miss America? :p

Just wish the grip was more aggressive feeling though.

Get x-grips (http://x-grips.com/products/smithwesson-mp/) and you can use full size mags in your M&Pc.

Nice gun period! Of all my 9mm.s I can for sure pick it up put in most different types reloads that I load and hit very square on target. Don't know if it is because of the chamber space (supported/unsupported) versus my cz I load shorter for wolf .40 to 9 conv. . but its one I wont let go! Now for carry watch Hickock 49's reviews. Just my opinion. I love it and hope you enjoy! Stout barrel!

That's the way mine looked three years ago. It has been absolutely perfect and defect free for that entire period and its had several thousand rounds through it.

You'll grow to like it a lot.

Looks more appealing than my performance center ported 4.25.

I had one that I got cheap, but I couldn't shoot it worth a darn. I even sent it back to S&W because it shot so horribly that I assumed there was something wrong. It came back and fired just as bad, so I sent it down the line. I used the money for something that worked better for me. Hope yours shoots well. I was sad to have to sell mine. I had high hopes for it.

Ever figure out the issue?

I think it's just me, I just didn't shoot the gun well. I bought it used, and it may have been an early one, and possibly the early ones had bad triggers/barrels/lockup/etc, but it's just as likely that my hand was just a bad fit for it.

Think I swapped my used .40 for a new 9c. cause I couldn't hit. And paid a lil. boot$. But was me our something I no now to figure out. I just shot 20+ out back that I should have pulled but man I can depend on that lil. rascal! They were warm/hot @30 steel and then spun the spinners missed a few but I don't care for a flashey pistol powder!

M&P 9 or shield?
The M&P 9 and M&P 45, I shoot just fine. The shield 9mm I shoot well too. The M&P 9C was the one that I could not shoot worth a darn.

Congratulations on your purchase. The 9c is a solid choice. I just traded into one also. I find it to be very accurate more so than my Glock 26. It has replaced it as my primary carry.

I won an M&P at a World Title WA1500 Dinner Night Door Prize but you had to be there to win it, some Swede took the money equivalent. On a good note though a year later I won a Tanfoglio 9mm ( EAWitness equiv. ) at a state title up in the hills and again a door prize believe it or not ! The 9mm has been pimped up with a hennings flat trigger and some internal polishing.
