I could use some help finding info on taking apart a model 1897 shotgun. I haven't tried yet, rather have the info first. Thanks all.

Quality of AGI gunsmithing videos is un even, but the one on 97 Winchester shotguns is excellent.

Disassembly, sorry I wasnt clear on that. Its a model 1897 made in 1899 that was stored in a closet for some 20 years and has accumulated dust on the inner workings.

One must take the screws and pins out in the correct order, which I don't remember.

I have a 97 that pumps when in half cock that I need to watch the video and take it apart.

If someone with a memory does not chime in, I will look that up for you.

Can you just blow out the innards with aerosol Gunscrubber? That is a pretty open design when racked back most of the guts are hanging out. I'm a big believer in not fixing something if it ain't broke and those have a lot of little hard to replace doodads in em. YMMV
