Anyone else have a rifle that shoots terrible and they don't care?

I have a pair of 1942 Mosin 91/30's, neither of which shoots worth a hoot. Keyholes are the norm when and if you actually hit paper. But both are very well worn and probably were passed to quite a few soldiers before the war was over. If only they could talk. Add to that the fact that one of them was my son's first restoration project (he did a very nice job I might add). So I don't care if they can shoot or not, these old war horses deserve a rest. And they look very nice over my mantle.
Anyone else have a completely useless, couldn't hit the inside of a burlap sack, rifle that they wouldn't part with?

My Garand shoots 6" groups @100 on a good day and sports a mismatched stock that looks like it's seen it's share of bouncing around on the floorboards of a GPW.
Maybe one day I'll put a nicer stock on it and have it rebarreled to .308, but I'm never going to give it up even if it doesn't shoot any better.

All of my rifles, save my Mini-14, shoot way better than the operator (me). But the Mini is a blast to plink with, and at the end of day, you just don't care, throw the thing in a corner, abuse her, don't clean it, but pick it up the next day and boom boom, treat her rough. Pretty soon you don't mind 5" groups.
That is a good thing. I have a lot of rifles that are so pretty, that I hate to shoot them (I have never shot my beautiful walnut stocked 10/22 deluxe sporter).
Sort of like having a beautiful woman you are afraid to mess up in bed or an exotic sports car you keep in the garage.
Sick.
Guns should be shot.
Cars should be driven.
Women should be . . . well you know.

I reckon when it comes to the old C&R's .. it does not matter too much ... my 91/30 is a tad variable in it's shot placement! My Ishapore Enfield 2a is way worse than I think it should be ... and yet my Turk does rather well .. but it's a good specimen. The SKS is a real ''beater'' and none to fond of grouping very well ... but it sure digests any fodder I give it . with some pleasure!!
I'll keep em all ..... not as if many $$$'s wrapped up in em anyways!:p

I'm cranky about guns.
If it doesn't cut it I get rid of it.

I'm with SodaPop.
It shoots well, or I don't shoot it. I don't have enough money to go wasting it on 6" groups.

I year ya P95....I've tried everything, including handloading and never gotten much better than 3 inch groups no matter what. Also have an SKS that ain't no tackdriver (but how many of them are?) and I still love it. Just a friendly little rifle that goes BANG every time.

3" groups with a throughly used battle rifle with iron sights?
Good enough for me! That's still in the kill zone for most large-ish game out to 200 yards. And capable of keeping bad guys way far away should the need arise. ;)
Generally, if I can't hold a rifle to 2 MOA, I don't keep it. Unless it's of sentimental value or just a good cheap MilSurp piece.
