Is the 9-round Taurus 94 the highest capacity revolver? Are there other 9 rounders?

Seems like I saw an 8-round .357, which -I think- 9would give you the most total fpe in a revo...

I know it's 2 different questions (most rounds vs. highest total fpe).

Anyone care to enlighten me as to either or both questions?

Harrington and Richardson made the very nice Sportsman with nine round cylinder. Uses the same speedloaders as the Taurus 94. The big SW .22 can be had with either six or ten round cylinder. I doubt if there is any revolver with more rounds than that, except some novelty or custom or antique revolver.

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Handguns by AB Zhuk has an illustration of a 19th century European pinfire revolver with a 30 round cylinder. The next page shows an even more bizarre specimen with over/under barrels, a cylinder with 21 chambers in two concentric rings, and a side-folding bayonet.

I've handled a 20-round 7mm pinfire Lefaucheux revolver; were you thinking only of modern designs, or anything?

I've got a 9-shot Taurus mod 94 and I'm working on a S&W 10-shot 617. Fun guns! In a defensive caliber, the S&W 627 357 mag comes w/ 8 round cylinder  Very cool

Smith has (or had) a very nice K22 or 617 (?) that came originally as a 6 shot, then went to a 10 shot. Some folks don't like the different timing of the 10 rounds per cylinder and may seek out the older 6 shots.
