I was just scanning through the list at Gunbroker when I came upon this auction (http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=18116097). The Mariner with a 9-round capacity is listed at $513 on the Mossberg site, and the ability to buy it for $300 here in such good condition surprised me. Is this an extraordinary deal, or can such prices be found elsewhere?

P.S. - The big tube on the Remington 870 is an 8-shot magazine, and on Mossberg's it's 9. Does the Mossberg actually hold more rounds, or do they count the chambered round in the capacity? They look about the same to me, and I wanted to be sure.

Good price. Looks like it sold for $255 - even better. I paid $275 new for my 590 about 4 years ago, and it is the standard model. Capacity is 8+1.
