1911 Mag well

Looking for recommendations for a mag well for my Kimber. Currently, the Maxi-Well and the Smith-Alexander are being considered. I'd prefer 30-LPI checkering on the mainspring housing, if possible. I don't want the Wilson-type that is secured by the grip screws, due to the grips I'm using.

I use the Wilson Speed-Chute on my Kimbers. They include a steel mainspring housing and the magwell is secured by the pin that holds the mainspring housing in.
I put one of the S&A's on my Springfield just the other day. Very impressive piece of work. Went in without a hitch, loooks good (which is, of course, the most important thing), feels good and works as advertised. I talked with Alan at S&A for like a half hour as he explained to me at length how to install it without problems. Hell of a nice guy. I'd buy again from him just because of the personal attention I got, even if his product wasn't as awesome as it is. Highly recommended.
It does make the gun harder to conceal than I thought it would. It's a big difference. Not that this is exclusive to the S&A product, any magwell will have this effect.

Yeah, this weapon's primary use will not be concealment. :D
After the great service I got from S&A, and the quality of the part: I'm an S&A guy now all the way.

They're local to me, too. That's a plus.
Big time. I got the feeling after talking with Alan that if I had a problem installing it, he was going to get a plane ticket and come on over to fix it himself. :)
