Picked up a Colt Mustang this week . Now tell me the good and bad about this little pistol. Don t like the recoil springs should I change to the Wolff 11#spring? Most likely replace my Bersa as warm weather carry gun.

I owned one for about 2 weeks. Accuracy was terrible, but I think it was just that gun. It was very well used, probably worn out.
Its size-efficient, easy to clean, easy to carry, and easy to shoot (for a pocket pistol.)

My wife has had one for years and loves it, she does CC with it. Only problem she's had is the magazine release. With a pistol this size and her grip she's nudged it. The magazine slid down just a fraction and the gun wouldn't fire. She's a great shot with it and it digests all types of ammo.
I personally think it's a touch large for a 380 but since it's basically a shrunk 1911 it's still a nice gun.

They quit making the Mustang in 1999, but I guess it is new to him, I have the double action pony....and my trigger is bad, a 9 lb trigger pull.
The mag release does pop the mag out if you are not carefull, and it does take a little skill to not break anything when putting it back together, and try to find a metal recoil rod from Brownells, the wolf spring and extra mag springs come in a kit from them too. By the way, mags are getting expensive and harder to find. At 25 feet, it is deadly at the range...I got 4 with my gun, so I am all set. I picked up my gun for $300....What did you pay? I think they are the best carry guns, light, and easy to grip, and compact, but not too compact.
