When did S&W stop making the Model 19 with the recessed cylinder/pin model? Thanks, Byron

The pinned barrels were phased out during the 1981-82 period. You seen some revolvers without the pinned barrel but still with the recessed chambers. I think by 1982 both features were history except for the recesses on the rim fire guns. You do know that .38 Specials, .44 Specials, .45 Colts and other calibers other than the magnums and the .22s were never recessed?

Thanks for the information. I was not aware of the other revolvers not being recessed. I traded into a 95% Model 19, nickel todaytha is recessed and pinned. Byron
