I've seen some impressive velocities posted with this powder and 230gr Gold Dots. Anyone give this a try? Is it clean? How about flash? Who carries it?

It is very clean, and somewhat consistent. I could not quite duplicate the loads in the manual, I was consistently about 50 to 75 FPS slower than advertised.
I prefer AA#7, to it for stiff .45 ACP loads and .45 Super, because it is more consistent.
My favorite gunshop in Albuquerque carries it... Los Ranchos...
It does have an impressive muzzle flash at max loads...

Thanks, I was trying to find Power Pistol without the flash. Any idea why it wasn't consistent? I gather that many spherical powders lack consistency.

I am not saying it was inconsistent, I am saying AA#7 was more consistent. It is also a spherical powder.
I usually can get AA#7 a couple of dollars cheaper as well.
Enforcer is a good powder...

Yes, I have tried Enforcer with 230 Gold Dots, and did not get anywhere near the claimed velocities. I don't remember the exact numbers - perhaps I will remember to look them up.

Ramshot Enforcer and AA#9 look the same, smell the same, have the same denisty, and I have found, the same charge to reach the threashold of brass flowing.

Clark:
Was it you that posted that it was the same, except Enforcer has a flash suppressant added?
How is the flash? Substantial.. I would guess.

I got the same velocites as advertised if I used CCI mag primers. Win and Fed primers were much lower.
