What sort of flintlock weapons, specifically handguns, would one expect to see in a colonial US in 1700-1720? Queen Anne pistols? Too soon for dueling pistols?

Also, were holsters in use just yet instead of hooks and clasps, or did they come later?

Published by the Smithsonian in 1980, it's a very good book. Flintlocks were around & on page 164 you'll find a holster pistol that is flintlock. There's a huge pommel on the pistol grip, an entry pipe and a pipe halfway down the stock of the pistol. The lock is your typical round face Queen Anne with the characteristic graceful swan neck cock. There's also a Queen Anne English Martial Holster Pisol (p154).
Don't forget that the Spaniards and Dutch were also there so you may want to look into their pistols of the period too. The book has a few illustrations of them.
