how do i get the plug out of a mossy 500a?

hello,
how can i get the plug out of my mossberg 500a for cleaning puposes? i dont see a spring or anything,

I assume you are talking about the magazine plug?

Just unscrew the end of the magazine, pull the barrel out of the reciever, and tilt the gun downwards.
The plug is a dowel with two rubber bands on it. A small length should protrude when you tilt the gun forward, and simply pulling the dowel should remove it altogether.
