I have a Remington 10, take-down, with an 18 1/2" barrel. Is this what you are referring to?

I have been informed that it was purchased by American Express, (back when they really were an express company).

Other than that, I don't know very much about it.

Gov. Models will have a "US" stamped on the reciever as well as a flaming bomb below a letter marking.

There is another thread on at this time regarding a J. Stevens military model 620. The pictures in this thread show the military markings that would be on a model 10 Remington as well. (if military)
