TacStar Side Saddle, 4 shell vs 6 shell

I just got a Remington 870P and I will be adding a few things to it... One I want is the TacStar Side Saddle. Now I would like to here the opinions on the 4 vs the 6 shell holders... Pros and Cons. Thanks up front for your time and input.

I've got the 6-rounder on mine, but you should be aware that the standard factory forearm is a little too large/long to allow you to pump a full stroke when it's installed. With a Speedfeed stock and forearm set on my 870, I'm happy with it :)

I have the syn stock/forarm and I most likly will go with the Shurefire light... 618FA or the 918FA both are Suppose ? to work with both side saddles ?

Don't forget to consider the weight. I have a 4 shot saddle on mine, plus a two shot tube extension from Wilson Combat, and a SureFire forend. Fully loaded, it's rather heavy and not particularly comfortable to hold in the firing position for long periods of time.

Still ...... it's six in the tube plus four on the side contained in an easy to use and portable package.

Thats what I like about my Defender 8 in the gun, 6 on the side saddle and 6 on the butt stock... 20 rounds of 12 gauge in one convenient package.

I am going to go with the 4 round version on my 870. Just somewhere to stash a couple slugs.

the 6 shot will work fine on your 870p. that's what i have on mine. i keep 5 rounds of 00 buck in the mag and 4 00 buck/ 2 slugs in the sidesaddle. it does add some wight overall, but it doesn't bother me and it also helps to reduce recoil.

do a search and get some tips on mounting it so you don't scratch your receiver.

i could name a few, but there are a couple of methods and each has it's pros and cons inmo.
