dogma -- what's the gun?

i was watching it on comedy central and im wondering what kind of gun matt damons character uses. its the only big chrome gun in the movie.

Desert Eagle, as I recall.

That is a chrome Desert Eagle. This gun is used in many movies. The huge size and distinctive shape are very recognizeable. The Governator used one in "Last Action Hero". The agents in "The Matrix" carry them.

Very freakin' loud, impressive muzzle flash, pretty darn accurate. Reliability leaves something to be desired. Costs about $1200.
