Last week a friend and I went to Targetmasters in Milpitas, Kalifornia. I have been trying to decide on a .45, and wanted to "coon finger" a few things to get the feel.

Anyway, while drool, er, looking at the SIG 220ST, we both noticed a BUNCH of brand new SIG 225's in the case, at least a half dozen, if not more.

I have always liked shooting the 225, and figured I would pick up a used one someday, however, these were not only new, but also noticeably different.

If we weren't mistaken (both being former 225 owners), the grip is quite a bit different from what we recall. Are we on track here? Seems to me there is more arch to the back strap than I recall.

Is this a limited run or something? Also, where are these from? Not in the SIG catalog, and I will have to go back to see it it was a NH made gun or came from...?

AFAIK, the P225 is made in Germany only. The new milled slide guns are made in NH, but the P225 only ever came with a stamped slide.

I've seen a few 225's in pretty good numbers in a couple of shops. Don't know if they're a special run or not...they are tempting tho. Maybe check over at the sigforum.com, I'd bet they 'd know for sure.
Congrats by the way!
