Just got a new 11-87 PD and what I`m hoping is a good one since I had to cash in the Gold Fillings in my teeth to help pay for it :p .

I notice in other Gun Sites and back threads here some folks recommeding " breaking in " ?? this gun with up to several 100 + heavy loads, however neither the Civie Owners Manual or the LEO insert that came with it mention that.

Any thoughts about that, and why it might be a good idea ?

All other tips from owners also very welcome.

Thanks

Mostly a break in period is to help smooth out any rough spots or burrs in the action and to see if there is going to be any problems with certain types of ammo. Hopefully you will have smooth sailing with your new 11-87. Many people at this board have had problems with some of them. I have went through tens of thousands in my old 11-87 with out hardly a hiccup.

Welcome to the High Road.
