Mojo sights on my 91/30. Wow!

I installed a set of Mojo sights (rear peep and front snap sight) on my 91/30. What a difference! This rifle is twice as fun to shoot now. It really improved my groups and it corrected the rifles tendency to shoot high. I love it when inexpensive aditions to a gun make a big difference and work the way they are supposed to. I highly recomend them to anyone who shoots surplus rifles. I'm gonna order sets for my SKS and my M38. BTW, I don't know how it is on other rifles, but I didn't have to file anything to get them to fit. I give them an A+ for value.

I have a set of the snapsights for my VZ-24. They should have come like that from the factory! I love them!

Thanks, LMG!

My Russki 91/30 will be left intact, I'll have to order a set for the Sako M39.

SWEET! :D

I have a set on my Yugo M48 Mauser, and I couldn't agree more. What a difference $40 can make!

To put it differently: I could have ordered a no gunsmith A/O mount, ordered rings, scout sope, and lens covers for around $250 (and that's the cheap seats).

The best way to go on a milsurp, no question.

I have a set of the dual peeps on one of my M39 Mosin Nagants. It made an incredible improvement in my ability to shoot it accurately. It's the next best thing to optics.

Good tip. There will soon be a set on my 91/30.

Been holding off trying these on my K31 out of concern that the rear aperture might be too far forward. All of my experience with "peep" sights has been with them mounted as far aft on the receiver as possible.

From what I'm reading here, I may have to reconsider. Sure like to try shooting something with them mounted on it first, even if it is only $40.

I know that the K31 is capable of more than my middle-aged, bifocaled eyes can deliver with the stock irons, but I don't want to destroy the historic value by drilling and tapping the receiver for conventional receiver sights or scope mount.

This might just be the ticket. Thanks!

I have a very nice sporterized Swede and have to use extra tall rings for my scope to clear the original rear sight. Does anyone use a Mojo rear sight on their Swede along with a scope? I'm curious about clearance. Thanks.

I'm eagerly awaiting my C&R, and scouting out various rifles (Mosins and K-31s being "in my sights" right now). I definitely want to be able to shoot as accurately as possible, esp. with the K-31, and the Mojos sound like just the ticket.

Does anyone know if Mojo discounts prices to C&R holders, or would that be ridiculous given that most of those who order from them will already be Crufflers?

Bump!

Any more experiences with the Mojo sights? How easy are they to install (particularly on the K-31)? What kind of accuracy improvements have you obtained (with any rifle)? How about the Microclick sights vs. the standard snapsights?

Just a FYI for the SKS crowd (since the SKS was mentioned earlier in this thread) - I find that the Mojo rear peep sight is too far forward to really function as a peep, and that my eye wants to focus on it rather than blurring the rear and focusing on the front. I suspect that the TechSight (when it's released) will eclipse the Mojo as the rear sight to have for the SKS....

I am patiently waiting for the TechSight to come out. I even cut down my dragonov so that I can use it. The WILL be the best sight out there for the SKS from what I have seen. I believe the release date is in October and I know I'm on the list for one of them as soon as they get out into the market.

(We are waiting "law27")

I Googled it and came up empty. Please elaborate, and link if you can.

PM "law27" and he can link you to some stuff since it is his invention. He will also have a website of some kind. His idea for a peep sight is outstanding!

I just wanted to thank those of you that have been following the development of the Tech-SIGHTS TS100, (the model designation for the new receiver mounted aperture sight for the SKS), for your interest. I appreciate the input that you have been giving as to what you want in a sight. The sights will be available towards the later part of October. Not fast enough for me, but it all takes time to get a product up and running. In the mean time we are finishing the work on the web site (not out there yet..) and final touches on instalation instructions, sight adjustment instructions, advertising graphics, etc. We do not have pictures of the actual production sight as our supplier is running a little behind, so I will post a photorealistic rendering showing the sight mounted on an SKS. For those of you that have been patiently waiting, thank you! I will do my best to deliver a quality product that will compliment your rifles.
Again if anyone wants additional information I will be happy to send it and keep you informed on the progress. Just email me at law27@techie.com.

I've been debating trying these on the 91/30. You just settled it. I'm going to order some. Thanks for the report.:)

But I'm glad I waited now that I see the microclick. I've got an M48 that's just dying for some decent sights.

I've got a vz.24 that I haven't had a chance to take to the range yet. I will definitely be trying it out with the original sights, but from all I've read about the Mojo sights both here and in the forums over on surplusrifle.com I strongly suspect I'll eventually be ordering a microclick rear sight for it. I notice they say "***For Czech VZ 24, Persian 98/29: order rear sight only."

I'm so glad everybody loves their mojo sights! I've been looking to get a set for my Mauser 98...

good products deserve great reviews..

Question:

How easy are the microclicks to adjust, and how small of an MOA does it click at a time?

BryanP

According to their web site you just turn the dial. They say each click adjusts in .7-.8 MOA increments.
