Thanks for the welcome, Safety First....I am keeping an eye on their website, when the show it available, I'll let you know here. I have a PPK that has proven to be OK, but I plan to try the PB in it.

I sure would be interested in .380 p-ball. Please keep us posted and let us know your opinion of the stuff if you have the chance to try it out.

I would be interested to see how it penetrates (especially out of a short barrel like a P-3AT).

Maybe, just maybe if we ask him real nice, Stephen A. Camp will do a review on it for us..He is good at testing and reviewing..Here's hoping.......

I'll keep an eye out too.
For now the P3AT is stoked with Federal Hydra Shock JHP ammo.

Do we know the projectile weight on this yet?
If it's 100grains like the 38 and 9mm, I would be VERY concerned about expansion.
I would guess they'll need to drop to somewhere between 75 and 85 grains to get enough head of steam for expansion...

I very much doubt they will be 100 grain bullets. PowRballs are generally light for caliber, that and the problems getting longer bullets in a 380 case.
80 or 85 grains at most would be my guess, but I'm looking forward to seeing them, whatever the weight.

My 2004 Glaser Catalogue shows the .380 as 70gr @ 1250fps

Glaser and Pow'R'Ball weights have so far NOT been the same in the same caliber. The 9mm/38/357 Glasers are 80grains, while PRBs are 100. So you can't predict PRB weights from Glasers.
It's possible to shoot 100grain loads in a 380. I just hope they don't try.

My 2004 Glaser Catalogue shows the .380 Pow'R Ball loading as 70gr @ 1250fps.
Since Cor-Bon bought out Glaser the Pow'R Ball ammo is listed in the catalogue as a Glaser product.

Not 100 grain PowRball loads though, the bullet design would cause a 100 grain load to be way long.
For regular .380 there's no problem, Remington's 102 grain load has never had any OAL, or overpressure issues that I'm aware of.
Can't wait for this load to come out though, COME ON CORBON YOU SLACKERS (kidding, kidding).

Can someone tell me what this .380 Ammo is supposed to do differently than other ammo. Thanks.

It helps the ammo feed better in guns that are "iffy" with JHP ammo.
So far thats the best Ft Lbs energy stats for the .380
I might have to give it a try.

The polymer ball is forced deeper into the cavity in the soft lead core which forces expansion without the problems plaguing conventional open hollow points that can get filled with debris penetrating clothing.
The round nose design enables it to feed better and slightly increases penetration before expansion.
In the Glaser Pow'R Ball, the ball also acts as a minor secondaty projectile.
It's not really a new concept. Winchester was doing it 20 years ago with their expanding point .25acp.
Glaser just kicked it up a notch by lowering the bullet weight and jacking up the velocity.

What about 9x18 makarov? Any chance of them making some? Would anyone else like to see this happen?

What about 9x18 makarov? No reason they couldn't if the demand was there.
They already have the brass and they could use the same bullets as the .380.

Corbon already dropped their 9x18 Makarov JHP through a lack of sales, there is zero chance of them investing in a PoWrBall load for the Mak.
I'll bet 70% of buyers for the 380 load will want it for their P-3ATs, Corbon should make sure it works well in that gun before releasing it.
Just my 2c.

Subject: RE: PowRBall for .380
Hello,
The 380 PB will not be out until about four more weeks. It will most
likely be a 70 gr bullet that will penetrate 8 in or so.
I'm not sure what the vel will be yet but some where around 1100 fps.
Thanks,
Pete Pi JR.

9x18 Makarov uses a .363" bullet, as opposed to .355" for .380 (9x17) & 9x19.

True that the bore sizes are different, but since Cor-Bon/Glaser is already swaging bullets for both diameters it would be a simple matter to just swage them to the Mak size.
