As near as I can tell, this weapon appears to be a Winchester 1300 with some bells and whistles added. Has the basic action been modified/beefed up to any extent? I've heard some folks say that the 1300 wasn't the best choice for military/police use because of durability issues.

Its a 1300. I believe that the Winchester is actually an FN not the other way around. Last time I checked Winchester doesn't make guns anymore, they just license products from other manufacturers.

The 1300 is plenty reliable if you take care of it. If you treat it like crap for a prolonged period like a cop or grunt would, then you may end up with trouble down the line.
