I'm waiting to hear too.
I've really got my eye on a new Savage this year.

I've dryfired one a couple of times.

You can definitely feel it when you're compressing the trigger safety lever. Almost like the takeup on a twostage trigger.

After the safety lever is depressed, the trigger has a nice, crisp break.

General consensus (informal poll of people present in the gun shop at the time) was that it was pretty nice and clearly superior to the typical Savage trigger.

I like Savage rifles. I have a Model 11 in .243 dressed in a Bell&Carlson Duramaxx stock that is a real beauty. It has a Sharp Shooter Supply trigger on it that is very crisp. When I first saw the Accu-Trigger press release I thought that it was a really good idea and thought about replacing my SSS trigger to add a little extra safety for walking in the field. But after just putting a two-stage trigger in my AR-15, I think that they should have skipped the glock trigger in favor a nice two-stage approach. They could have let the initial slack of the trigger take up and move the sear block and it would have worked just as well, without the little lever buried in the trigger. Just my opinion, but I think that extra lever in the trigger wigglilng around might be a little distracting during fine trigger work.

I'm just about to get one, and wondering if I should try to tweak the stock trigger, get the replacement, or try to find one with the acutrigger...

i just got a 10FP last weekend and tweaked the trigger down to 1Lb 10oz (10 pull average) and yes my safeties still work properly. i was going to spend some $ on the SSS trigger, but so far, i don't see the need to yet. i did buy a oversized bolt handle from Brownell's though

hey Quack, any online info on the trigger tweaking??

(I know I will search when I get it, but I'm just wondering if there was a specific spot or page he used...)

I've owned two Savage centerfires

to say that I'm not a Savage fan would be an understatement

we've gotten 3 new ones with the Accutrigger in our shop. Opinions from everyone so far has been excellent. Kinda funky with the take-up, but the break is excellent.
