today while at the Houston Gun Collector's Assoc. show i bought a WW2 Era flap holster for my 1911A1 (the kind El Paso Saddlery sells as their "1940).
this holster is well worn, but the leather is in good shape and butter soft and VERY supple, as in like some of the softer leather "bomber" Jackets i've seen.
after i carefully clean all the build-up off the brass rivets, i want to KEEP this this holster in good shape. and maybe even try adn get it to look a little LESS dry and beat-up.
is there anything that is good for this, i do NOT want nor in anyway need to soften the leather, i just want a good preservative and possibly something that might give it a more even coloration.
as always thank you for your time and any input is welcome.
