Bought some time back a Ruger Single Six .22LR/.22WMR I don't see cataloged and am having trouble getting info on. It's a fixed sight, factory high polish stainless with 6 1/2 inch barrel, ser number 268-099XX. Was this a regular catalog item, or something made up for one of the big distributors? Came to me used in the box with papers and extra cylinder, for $195 out the door. Minty shape. I'm really pleased with it, because I'm a real fan of single actions in stainless. Thanks for any info!

I looked it up late last night - and got bumped off line while I was doing it so I went to bed.

They made a fixed-sight stainless new model convertible, but there wasn't any mention of a highly polished one. There was a listing for some sort of high-polish stainless S-Six and I was working on the time frames for the different models when I gave up.

According to Ruger's site: 263-79121 and 268-21253 = 2000
