Hey all,

I picked up a new Mossberg 590 this weekend at the gunshow, and the bug has already bitten me; I need to take this puppy apart and see how it ticks (plus it seems to be a bit gritty, like the action needs some lube). Therefore I'm asking if anyone has a good detailed set of disassembly instructions.

I've shot scatterguns for a long time, but I've never been that into 'em. My other pump guns have never needed to be completely disassembled, so I haven't bothered to learn how. This thing just seems like it needs to be stripped, cleaned, and lubed before I take it out and train with it.

Other that the grittiness, I think that I'm going to love this gun.

If you goto ( http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm ) You will find manuals for an assortment of firearms and included is the Maverick and Mossberg 500 which may be close to the 590 in disassemble procedures.
