Heard back from my boxing instructor who is cowboying in Iraq this year. He is currently on vacation in Thailand. He had high praise for his MAV from Tactical Tailor.

Decided I needed new gear as my Blackhawk chest pouch is getting a little "gamey" and I need to fill another cardboard box.

More familiar with an MAV, but thinking Vest 1A and Dump Pouch (currently use surplus gas mask bag [insert banjo music]) this time.

Any feedback? What say you?

I've got the TT dump pouch, intending to use it for the ITRC competition this summer (hundreds of rounds per stage "3Gun" match). It seems well designed, but could be larger to hold 5+ mags. Downside is that the rear isn't MALICE-compatible, but works great on the thigh.

Went ahead and ordered up some stuff from Tactical Taylor, even a proper dump bag and "shooter's mat" (El Tejon has gone upscale). Will give report after I shake the stuff down.

Now they'll have to mock me for my poor shooting (as they should), not my hilljack gear.:p

A guy in my guard unit has a full lbv and dump pouch by tactical tailor, along with a rucksack. By far the nicest set of tac gear Ive seen, including military issue, blackhawk, eagle, and a few custom rigs. Id love to get a set, but cant seem to justify ditching my military surplus stuff. Let us know how your experiences go, particulary on how well the dump pouch works. thanks
