Are you looking for an original FAL type sling or something more modern?

I have looked into this some and will share my opinions. First, my FAL is a Springfield SAR-48 which is an Imbel FAL with the front sling swivel on the barrel. I have tested it and found where the gun's point of impact will shift significantly at 100yds with any sling tension at all. I use the CQB solutions 3-point slings on my ARs and love them but the FAL (at least the standard models) are quite long for this type of carry - the muzzle is carried quite low and tends to bump on things. If you have the carbine version, this may be a good option for you.
I decided that for the most part, I don't even sling my FAL. When I do, I use a long version of the GI web sling. I chose this type so that I can use it to shoulder carry the rifle when just walking but can quickly take it off when I am in a position where I may need to shoot it.
Just my $0.02 worth.

I really like the Mountain Stalker Tactical Sling go to http://www.mountainstalker.com/ It can be used as a carry strap, backpack style, tactical muzzle down carry. Great sling and only about 30-35 bucks. I'll try to post a picture of it on my FAL when I get home.

I love the Blackhawk tactical sling. Works great on FALs, and helps distribute the weight while you are carrying it for long distances.

I'm with Swamprabbit - and I use a Galil sling with the spring loaded clips at the end for exactly the same reason. The Galil sling is a little wider and offers a little more comfort IMHO.
