The manpurse. I attached a Wilderness Tactical Yuppie Canteen Pouch to the attachment point. There is also another attachment point on the upper left side of the purse below the key attachment point.

The main compartment. There are two mesh sleeves on both sides, and each can hold a pistol and spare magazine. Pictured is my P7M8 and extra magazine (not visible), but I have fit my super-size Beretta 92G Elite and extra magazine in there. There is a drawstring to close up the top if you worry about the pistol falling out. It is convenient but I wouldn't recommend it for quickdraw.

The zippered pouch. Again, there is a mesh pocket for organizing your stuff. I have an energy bar and lots of eyedrops (recent LASIK patient). I usually keep a first aid kit in there but I gave it to my friend, to show my love in a tactical way :)

The little pouchies on the side. A magpouch-type of pouch (I put my Leatherperson in there) and a long-ish cell phone pouch plus two pen sleeves.

An outer pocket for me to clip my frequently on/off type of stuff.

I didn't post pictures of myself wearing it since I'm smaller than most so would therefore be of no use for you to judge its sizing.
Basically, if you don't mind the Metrotactical look, the Fatboy is THE tactical manpurse.

Way to bulky for me, given that I am in and out of the car all night.

You gonna model that thing for us or just stand there and whistle Dixie? Let's see what it looks like in use.

Hey Skunk nice Man Purse! ;)
I have had my Fatboy for almost a year now and have found it to very comfortable to carry. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is that I wish it was the main compartment was larger. Otherwise it is a nice design at an affordable price.

Smoke, I was "mumble, mumble.." thinkin' the same thing..
(There is just NO WAY in H-:cuss: -LL that my quilted flannel/Danner log boots/faded blue jeans/Papé Cat wearin' friends would ever let me live down the fact that it's a "manpurse". But, if I used it only for SHTF/emergency purposes (perhaps if I took the strap off, and used it as fanny pack for example), and pulled it out only under those circumstances, I might just get away with it..) :uhoh: ;) :D

For comparison, here's the Maxpedition Proteus. Different configuration than the Fatboy, and basically a mid-sized fanny pack. Unlike the Fatboy, it has no dedicated shoulder strap. It has a traditional fannypack-style waistband. The waistband stores away, making it something you can carry. Just like a purse.

Shown here with a Glock 23 and Kel-tec P32
The zippered main compartment has a mesh divider; a secondary zippered compartment is also divided, and has 2 small interior pockets about the right size to hold a couple of spare mags. On each end of the Proteus are additional zippered compartments suitable for holding a cell phone or small water bottle, or additional mags. Each of these end pockets has heavy straps on the exterior for stowing additional gear. More straps on the front can hold lights, knives, etc (see picture). All zippers have heavy nylon cord pulls. The handle flips over the top and is secured by 2 nylon clasps. On the back (not pictured), a heavy waistband is folded away and secured by straps, and deploys quickly. The waistband is adjustable, and has a large nylon clasp.
I carry CCW IWB rather than in the Maxpedition whenever possible, because its a slow draw (for me), and because the Proteus would be the first thing that someone tries to emancipate from me.
Like the Fatboy, it holds everything I need, including a small first aid kit, Streamlight Stinger, Surefire 6P, Inova X5, a couple of Photons (I'm an addict), notebook, sunglasses, sunscreen, tums & advil, ham radio (geeky, yes, but it allows me to communicate without a cell or landland, and legally listen to police, fire, EMS while mobile), etc.

Available from Maxpedition, and various internet suppliers. Its costy and likely has a very high profit margin, but appears to be built to last.

Just picked up a Proteus in OD for a hiking buttpack....so far I like it but haven't taken it anywhere. It's kinda above the radar whereas manpurses (at least out here) aren't.

Here in KY, we aren't as civilized, and I have never seen a shoulder-style manpurse used. So, for me, it would be way above the radar. Buttpacks aren't much better, but at least I'm not the first person to use one here.
I concur about flying under the radar. When people don't notice you, life is often easier. The second mouse gets the cheese.
Edited to add: I most carry the Proteus around and just throw it in the vehicle in case its needed, and don't use it like a buttpack.

I am breaking in society to the acceptance of my Fatboy manpurse by having it double as a diaper bag for my 3 mo. old twins. Yes, there is enough room in there as long as I dont need blankets or a change of clothes.

I've taken my grey Blaze into GSMNP and El Yunke Rainforrest National Park. It will hold a Kel Tec P11 in the front compartment securely or a Paraordnance P12 in the main compartment. Each side has mesh water bottle carriers. The waist belt stores out of the way. An H-harness makes it easier to carry a warm weather overnight minimalist load.

Hey Skunk, when is your new show debuting? You know.."Tactical Eye for the Ninny Guy." Time to transform some ninnies into ninjas.

Skunk, just what is it that you do for a living that you can afford all these "necessities"? Hate to pry, but curiousity is getting the better of me.
Re: maxpedition
Do you rate the construction quality high? I'm looking at getting some of their belt pouches to hold my Leatherperson Super Tool and modified Pelican M6 LED on my duty belt and would like to hear your thoughts.
Super cool tool? Take one M6, add a Suarez finger ring and Surefire Constant On tail swicth. Way better than stock and not something every other ninja in the mall has. You can thank me later.

VaughnT, the construction is great. I think they are made overseas but the stuff is built well. Caveat is that I have only had it for a few months.
As for my profession, I'm a lowly tech support technician, but I watch my spending very carefully so I can spend it, after charity, on things that matter to me such as cool gear, whether it be photographic or firearms related.
Stop going to the theater, brownbag lunch and drink water only and watch the money pile up. The people who think I'm missing out in life have it all backwards, IMO :)

Checked the tag; it's made in Taiwan.
I know some pretty nice things that have come from Taiwan so this isn't a problem with me :D

We're expecting our first child soon and I've been looking for something I can carry around that holds baby and daddy necessities...
I think this would be just the thing! Where's the best deal?
Showed it to my wife... she laughed and I said "Hey! you got to choose YOUR diaper bag, so I get to choose MINE!" :-)
