Another P7M8? Or USP9C or USP9F?

PDA

Thinking aloud: OK I been doing the math.

P7M8 = $1200.

USP9C = $800.
3 extra mags for 5 total = $120
Bladetech holster = $60
Bladetech double magpouches x2 = $110
Total = 1090

So getting a USP9C leaves me about $100 short of another P7M8 which I already have magazines for.

If you guys were me, any reason to get a USP9C? I mean, I have a lot of fun shooting it and all but...not sure if extra 2 rounds is worth it? :confused:

As I was thinking about getting a 9C for a beater gun, I realized that getting one would cost me about as much as getting another P7 for a beater.

P7 for a beater!!! :eek:

Let's not forget about the P2000.. It might be worth the wait..

February 11, 2003, 05:25 AM
..............why would one want more than one of the exact same pistol??

I've always wondered this. I mean I dig P7s just as much as the next guy but have never considered getting another one!

I have a second P7 in the safe as a backup. I've only shot it once.

Skunk, dude , my answer is "YES!" You need ALL 3 like me! :evil:

Now, that said, I'd like another P7M8 in blue to complement my hard chromed one :cool: You tho, need to start adding some variety :D

Get a lightly used P9S. You'll forget about wanting a USP.

If not, go P7M13 ..

You could pick up a used USPc for less than $650 (and I'm being generous).

Or you could get a USP9f to add to that SHTF arsenal of yours. :D

15 round mags for the USPf are about $60 each from Robert Johnson, or if you did go the Compact route, you could get USP40c mags instead, so it would hold 12 rounds instead of 10...

However you do it, I think $800 is about $100 high for a NIB USP9c.

Unless you want to start collecting the different variations of the P7:

- PSP with protruding mag release
- P7 with flush mag release
- P7M10
- P7M13
- P7K3

Then I would say go for the USP Compact 9mm. I have one and it is a very nice pistol.

OTOH, if you don't have a Walther P99 in 9mm, you really need to take a look at getting one. :D

Skunk, Ol' Buddy, Ol' Pal.......

You already decided to do, what I was going to tell you to do....

Which is buy a MAN's gun and go with the .45!!!! Ooh Rah!!!

You ain't going to go wrong with the USPc...in any caliber, but you

need a .45. And once you master that "tactical" plastic

thing a ma jig....you can buy a 1911 and go Native!!!:scrutiny:

Good Luck and Semper Fi, Sgt

Skunk,

A P7 in each hand would be very, very tactical indeed.

If I squint just right, I could already see you clad in your totally tactical gear with a pair of P7 holsters and a lot of mags...:cool:

I just love telling others to realize MY dreams!! :D

Go for the P7 ;)

Unless it holds 10 or less to begin with getting a 9mm in Kali doesn't make a great deal of sense.

I vote either a .45 or another P7 or SIG P225. Better yet, a P210.

a Wilson? Nope, he's selling the one he has ;) I'm putting my money on another HK, probably 9mm, polymer and "compact." I'd guess either a USPc 9 or P2000

While I've waffled in and out of a Vertec, 92F, and various USPs, this is a definite go.
So is the Beretta 92G-SD still a "definite go" then ??;)

Skunk, I can't believe you're getting rid of a Wilson.....geez man, this tactical thing has gotten out of hand...haha!! Well good luck with whatever you get, but I'd stay away from those evil beretta's.....:p Just a personal thing...I'm just a single action, cocked and locked kinda guy I guess....

Yeah..getting rid of a Wilson. Not doing it for me. I like single action C&L, that's what the USP9C's gonna be for :D

Buy a whole bunch of ammo. :D
Buy yourself some training. :D

I'd have to vote P7 here.. for logistical reasons. HK is bad about logistics.

Compact magazines don't fit in the fullsize models, USP9C and P2000 mags don't fit in each other though they are nearly the same size. Parts such as trigger, sights, etc. are not interchangeable.

None of the HK magazines are interchangable, despite the face they are all about the same size..
