I'm sure some people have more than they can count, but here is my modest start of a collection. I'm only 21.

Very nice, I'll get some pics of my little collectio when I get home. yours makes me think I've been spending my money wrong. I'm 22 and have less than half the number of guns you do.

Well, the lever action and the Colt 1911 were given to me. I paid $100 for the Mossberg shotgun and the Mosin was only $79. It's the handguns that are so expensive.

Tamara: Place your guns on the lawn of Bleak House (Confederate Memorial Hall), go to the Sharpshooters' Tower and if you use a fish eye (wide angle), I'm sure you can get all your guns. Be fast lest passing cars run them over though.

It would take too long to get them together:)

May 26, 2004, 01:04 AM
Gee, I'm thinking if we put them on our rooftop so the spy satellite can photograph it - do you think we can get a copy of that photo from the government so we can post it here?;)

May 26, 2004, 01:21 AM
Bwhahaha! well, we all know Tams can't do this ... tho 4v50 Gary may have cracked the problem! :D

For me .. all but impossible too!! I think only way might be ... categorization ....... by type (revo/auto) ... caliber, barrel length ...... some means to be sure that one pic only has about 8 to 10 guns in it. well, that'd help with handguns anyways.

Then longarms ....... now these are awkward cuz of shape and dimension .... tho I guess a similar rationale could be used.

Hmmm .. I wonder ...... maybe there's a plan here for new pics ..... just have to see what happens when there's time to spare.! Give me a few months!:p

May 26, 2004, 01:25 AM
You guys are making me feel bad. :cuss:

May 26, 2004, 01:30 AM
You guys are making me feel bad. Hey dude .. if I'd had your collection at 21, I'd have been well pleased .... so don't feel bad. That is one excellent start to a lifelong ''addiction'':p

I have been lucky to ''catch up'' a bit in later years .. and whilst I and others have numerically more than you ... we also have to varying degrees .... less time left on this planet!

You are doin fine .... believe me ..... no need to rush either. If you get to my advanced age of decrepitude - chances are you'll have numbers in three figures.:D

May 26, 2004, 01:52 AM
I suck with the camera, i couldn't get a good shot with all of them, without is being very blurry

May 26, 2004, 02:05 AM
Here is mine, im 20 and have a long ways to go:)

May 26, 2004, 02:12 AM
Kaxter - you too have time on your side ... so pace yourself .... you have a great start ... one to be proud of.

Devil....... I meant to say .. that 91/30 has superb wood .. absolute beaut' ..... refinished I imagine??

May 26, 2004, 02:30 AM
kaxter and devil,
dont complain, i am 22 and both of you own one gun worth as much as all of mine.......:D

May 26, 2004, 03:13 AM

Most of my collection, missing my CZ52 and unknown brand .22 autoloader.

cracked butt
May 26, 2004, 08:02 AM
I don't want to show all of my guns, it could be bad for me if such a picture were to get into the wrong hands- especially my wife's.:uhoh: But I can't see any harm in a picture of some bolt guns.:D

May 26, 2004, 09:31 AM
Zach S,

I'm not sure that I've seen a better start before. FOr the limited number you have that is a dang good collection.

May 26, 2004, 10:15 AM
Here's my collection, though about six months old. The G3 is gone, replaced by a DPMS CAR15 and a Swiss K31

So here's the CAR (with the afore shown FAL)...no pics of the K31 yet.

Zach S,

I'm not sure that I've seen a better start before. FOr the limited number you have that is a dang good collection.

Thank you, but didn't you notice the AMT on the far right? Kind of an odd-ball sitting next to two kimbers and a Colt... It was my first, I still have it for sentimental reasons. I'm thinking about having it accu-railed and rebuilt for pratical reasons. I'm waiting until mid-September for an AR15...

I know its a limited number, but considering that I'm only 22 and none of these were heirlooms or gifts (not to mention a lot of mags, holsters, customizations, ect), I think I'm off to a pretty good start. Most were purchased in the last year and 10 months with money out of my "Hopefully turn my Fairmont into a nice car" fund.

Can't post pics due to no digicam, but here is my list....

SW Model 1 third variation in .22 blackpowder short (gift from my dad)
Ruger 22/45 5.5" blued
Kel-Tec P3AT
SW 642 (wife's gun)
Ruger GP100 4" blued (gift from my mother.....yeah she's cool)
CZ75B 9mm
Glock 20 3rd Gen
Glock 29
RIA 1911

Long Guns-

Ruger 10/22
Savage semi-auto .22 x2 (both were gifts from my grandfathers)
Marlin 1894 .44mag
Mosin Nagant M44
Remington 870 18.5" with factory mag extension
HR Topper .410 single shot (gift from grandfather)

I figure this isn't bad for a 27 y/o who didn't get "into" guns until 21. The sad thing is that I know I have sold/traded off twice this many.

Soon to add.....
Ruger Mk II in .308
Ruger Bearcat .22lr
Ruger 10/22 40th Anniversary Edition (for my son who will be born in late July/ early August
Marlin pre-safety 336

I will probably add an EBR of some sort later on, just can't decide between .30 caliber/.223/FN/AR/AK/M1A...etc. The SKS I had was unimpressive.

May 26, 2004, 12:19 PM
Devil....... I meant to say .. that 91/30 has superb wood .. absolute beaut' ..... refinished I imagine??

Nope...wood is stock out of the box. I imagine that as soon as I take some degreaser to it and clean it up, it will really be something to look at. Tyler

May 27, 2004, 04:27 AM
I'm with Tamara on this one - not enough bandwidth...:D :D

May 27, 2004, 06:01 AM
You might check with NASA and see if they could get a Satilite pic for you. Just open up the top of your warehouse and they can look right in!:D

May 27, 2004, 06:06 AM
I have to wait until Tamara figures out how to do her collection first so I can borrow her method and equipment. :)

May 27, 2004, 09:30 AM
Most were purchased in the last year and 10 months with money out of my "Hopefully turn my Fairmont into a nice car" fund.

Dude, that task is about as possible to acomplish as Tamara getting a single pic of her entire collection. It just ain't gonna happen. :D

I probably could have done it, but I put the money where it matters, performance. Its almost as fast as it is ugly. Its been to 140mph (I dont see myself doing that again), so you could only imagine how ugly it truly is...

And note the key word: hopefully...

I'd like to get my hands on this one. (http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/features/0401mm_fair/)

May 27, 2004, 10:41 AM
When I hear the words 'Ford Fairmont', all I can think about is the baby blue '81 wagon my folks had when I was but a wee tyke. That thing was so huge, we had to dock it in a marina. I never thought of a Fairmont being a 'high performance' automobile, but to each their own, right?

To keep this on topic, I don't have a decent enough camera to get a pic of my collection just now.

May 27, 2004, 10:55 AM

My long gun collection. Have at least one weapon of every type that I can realistically put my hands on at the moment. Now to spend time on practicing. It'll be a hard long grueling process, but I'll somehow manage. :neener:

May 27, 2004, 11:52 AM
iamkris - What make is that Sharps? Very nice collection, indeed!

May 27, 2004, 01:11 PM
Gee, I'm thinking if we put them on our rooftop so the spy satellite can photograph it - do you think we can get a copy of that photo from the government so we can post it here?

4v50 Gary,
This has pics of satellite images... so you can download them yourself. Just make sure you know your coordinates :D

May 27, 2004, 04:45 PM
RevDisk, why is your bolt rifle plugged into the wall socket? Inquiring minds want to know!

:neener: :p :D

May 27, 2004, 05:01 PM
Guns? What guns? I only collect long cardboard boxes.

At least that's what I try to pass off on the wife.:neener:

May 27, 2004, 05:17 PM

It's a Pedersoli Billy Dixon Sharps in .45-70 from Cimmarron. 30" octagonal barrel, tang sight, German silver foreend cap, globe front sight. I won't tell you what I paid for it because it was an outrageous steal from a guy who was raising money for a Shiloh Sharps (about 60% of retail in 95% condition). It shoots better than I can...1-1/4" groups consistently with 405 gr handloads and iron sights.

Here's the best group I ever shot with it...more typical groups have the red stickies above it.

Here's a pic of the whole rifle from Cimmarron's website. They don't come with the globe from the factory.

Here's a good article on the .45-90 version from gunblast.com http://www.gunblast.com/BillyDixon_Sharps.htm

May 27, 2004, 05:29 PM

All I've got for now. Eventually want to add a Walther P38 to it all... :D

May 27, 2004, 06:24 PM
Well, here's the ones I haven't found a place for yet.......

anybody recognize those boxes?

May 27, 2004, 07:59 PM
Gator - you're plain wicked ... it's that simple! :p

Preacherman .... RevDisk, why is your bolt rifle plugged into the wall socket? Easy Peter - it's a rechargeable Ruger (I think) MkII .... and is designed to run off 120V .. with 1600 mA Nickel Metal Hydrides in the butt.

These electronic triggers ya know!:p :D

May 27, 2004, 09:29 PM
RevDisk - is that one of those new competition Remington 1100s?

May 28, 2004, 01:06 AM
Ah, too dang tired to pull them out of the safe...14 hour day at work, only somewhat longer than average...

In order of aquisition:

Ruger 10/22 w/ MagnumLite barrel, Power Custom Titanium guts, Hogue stock
Remington 342 Sportmaster w/ some adjustable aperature sight
Desert Eagle .44 w/ Hogue grips
Ruger Mk 77 7mm Mag w/ Bushnell 5-15X50 scope, Hogue stock
Glock 21C w/ M3, some after market spring, Hogue grip, Arotek slide release
Ruger Mini-14
Mossberg 590 w/ Ghost ring sights, side saddle, Hogue stock
Feather .22
Mosin-Nagant M38
Baby Eagle .40 w/ Hogue Grips
Walther P22 w/ both barrels
Kimber Tactical Custom II w/ Hogue grips
Glock 23 w/ Night sights, Hogue grips

By the way, I like Hogue grips.:p

May 28, 2004, 01:16 AM
Well, here are the ones that I've actually used in the last year.

FEG PJK FP9-turned-9HP

Add to that a plain ol' Mossy 500, 3" chamber, with wood furniture, and you've got my collection.

Devil, I'm 20... You've got a superb collection for your age. ;)

May 28, 2004, 07:30 AM
RevDisk, why is your bolt rifle plugged into the wall socket? Inquiring minds want to know!

I'm electricified over my wonderful new rifle, of course!

RevDisk - is that one of those new competition Remington 1100s?

Nope. It's a Tikka T3. I have a special fondness for Finnish weapons. It's incredibly accurate, even with the dinky Bushnell Sportview that was thrown in with the purchase. I'm looking over various scopes at the moment.

The only downside of the Tikka T3 is how expensive the magazines are. They run $30-40 at the moment, if you can even find them. In a bit, I'm going to manufacture some of my own. I'll probably make a handfun of 3 rd mags, maybe experiment with some fivers and maybe a ten.

In case anyone's wondering, the rug in the photo is a handwoven Iranian prayer rug. It's a rather nice shooting mat too.

May 28, 2004, 02:18 PM
outdoorman63 ..... some nice stuff there .. is that a CETME top right? 2nd from bottom looks a real smart M38. SKS's look gleaming ..... you musta worked em over yeah?

Oh and an M1 carbine .. what a little treasure.

If I call by - I'll be sure to knock three times and announce self!:D

May 28, 2004, 02:20 PM
Will post pic, soon as I get em all together, but right now its..
Jennings J22-ok. Laugh. Its a paperweight. Never gets shot, and is missing the recoil spring. Anyone want it?
Kimber Ultra CDP II
Marlin Mod 60
Oly Arms ar-15
Ruger Mini 14
Mossberg 500- this thing hits clays more consistantly than anything I have seen
Mosin Nagan 91/30 with the tacti-stock
8mm mauser that I am customizing...slowly
Winchester Model 20-410... old single shot .410 belonging to my grandfather whom I never got to meet.
I think that is it... so real guns (not counting the crap .22) total 8. Not bad for a 20 year old. Turning 21 in 2 months, and will be adding a Mil Spec SA 1911, Glock 26 or two for ccw. In the slightly longer run im wanting to get an 870 Tactical, SA M1A, and a CETME. I work hard and try to spend the money wisely. Hope Im doing ok.

May 28, 2004, 02:32 PM
Some of mine from the "Evil Rifle" thread a while back:

Some from the "MILSURP" thread:

May 28, 2004, 04:08 PM
My current pistol collection less the latest purchase, a Glock 26 :D

May 28, 2004, 05:28 PM
no wide angle lens

May 28, 2004, 05:43 PM
tele ..... even without w/a lens ... that's nice! What did I look for first? Yep, the Hakim .... and there it is ....... looks nicer wood than mine but I haven't done a thing to mine yet.

Bottom of pistol rack .... is that a Broomie?? Or Scorpion .. danged if I am good at historics. Top row left .. looks large!! Is that a DE?

Nice gear anyways.:)

May 28, 2004, 05:44 PM
OK, I'll play along.

Kind of a blurry pic. The larger one is here: http://www.justinbuist.org/images/20040524-collection/whole-family.jpg

It's my background image at work now. :D

May 28, 2004, 06:08 PM
Just way too much trouble. :(

May 28, 2004, 06:13 PM

You know what this thread has taught me?

It has taught me that all hope is not loss! I get a very warm cozy feeling thinking about all those of us out there who have such collections! Is it just me? It kinda puts the threats against our liberty a little bit more in perspective for me.

Maybe I can get a pic of my collection up here.

Again, WOW!

You all ROCK! And I'm glad we are all on the side of LIBERTY!

May 28, 2004, 06:49 PM

Nice collection ssr!

What kind of AK is it in the bottom pic? Perfect wood and finish.

May 28, 2004, 09:43 PM

Is that OD colored AR of the .308 variety?

May 28, 2004, 09:45 PM
Thanks. It's Bulgarian. :)

And yes, it's a .308 Armalite. :) again.

Zach S
May 28, 2004, 09:59 PM
ssr, while I am drooling over a fine collection, do find myself wondering why three guns, out of so many, have a lock, while the rest dont...

May 28, 2004, 10:13 PM
hey SSR wow..nice handgun collection..love the 1911's..nice all the way around

May 28, 2004, 10:14 PM
Had a thought .... no way I can set out everything for a ''family'' pic ..... so trying this ... have thrown a sorta thumbnail montage together .... this one of handguns ... rifles and other stuff I'll try and do later.

There is slight logic here ..... all semi's first until right of center where wheel guns take over. These are drastically reduced pics of course and hard to see what's what but you might just manage to I/D most ... I wonder!?? :p

May 28, 2004, 10:39 PM
Hmmm .... made the thumbnails bigger but still not overlarge re detail. You just might work some out.

Top two rows are C&R basically ..... third and fourth go into carbine territory row is sorta carbine/lever category. End of row four and next two is all ''conventional'' rifles! Bottom two rows are mainly ''evil'' category! :D

**This pic is attempt #2 ... bigger thumbnails .... bit better than previous I hope.**

May 28, 2004, 10:47 PM
Shotties this time ... not quite as small as rifle pics ..... but still pretty tiny.

May 28, 2004, 10:48 PM
I will post but I must warn you guys, I really SUCK at taking pic's.

And all for now, apart from some air weapons .. not even sure if i have pics of em all.

Here just three M/L rifles ... Traditions 50 cal percussion, In-line ''New Frontier'' .50 cal ..... and then the Enfield 2 band musketoon (parker Hale repro) in .577 cal.

P95 - what loads do you use in that Parker Hale Enfield that would cause you to use a slip-on rubber recoil pad? I'm casting a 535 grain minie (Parker Hale mold by RCBS) and using 65 grains FF.

BTW, some of you guys would make good photographers for the police. Some of these photos look like the evidence room. ;)

May 28, 2004, 11:18 PM
P95 - what loads do you use in that Parker Hale Enfield that would cause you to use a slip-on rubber recoil pad? I'm casting a 535 grain minie (Parker Hale mold by RCBS) and using 65 grains FF. Gary .... this rifle is real short for my build ... and I even find getting down for a sight picture can get my cheek well bruised!!

To help this I have the gun rather high in the shoulder ... the pad helps compensate for a small contact area - also i like comfort plus the effect of slight butt length extension ... again a build thing for me. The std gun is way too short in the stock for me.

Loads? ...... well I use the Lyman Minnie .. but i have modified that mould ... the insert that gives the hollow base - I turned up a new one which goes deeper and leaves a slightly thinner skirt ... for better obturation. It makes it lighter of course but that's not a prob.

The original Minnie is 575 grain .. the lighter one is 517 grain. My usual load is 2 1/2 drams (68 grain) .. so similar to you ... but now and again I do go max!! 3 1/2 drams (98grains) ... and then the mule gets sharp hooves!! :D

I'll try and take a pic of the Minnie .. old style and modified.

May 28, 2004, 11:28 PM
Amazingly beautiful collections.

I'll have to get some good light, a satellite and take some pics of my humble collection.

P95, awesome, Gixxerman(sp?), wow, all others, equally as impressive.

I'm still a softie for a good AK-47. I'm sorry, I'm hooked.

May 28, 2004, 11:38 PM
Gary .... in case of interest - just taken a quick pic of my Minnie ... this will give some idea of the change I made to base insert. The original has a very shallow hollow and thick wall ... the modified has a much deeper hollow and thinner walls at base. That can be a prob as the bullet base can be damaged easily ... in fact this one here has slight damage at top. Not a prob tho if not severe ... and under pressure this will obturate well.

The original is pretty corroded ... probably cast that 10 or more years ago ... quite a few left.! Even the modified - that was cast a long time ago - usually did a huge batch!

May 28, 2004, 11:50 PM

May 29, 2004, 01:12 AM
Thanks Carlos, by the way what were you asking " (sp?) " ???,

beautiful collections everyone.

My modest collection, minus my 2 newest- a P01 and an H&K USP FS 9mm.

PS: I am one of the world's worst photographers...

May 29, 2004, 09:21 AM
Top left is a LAR Grizzly .44 magnum and yes bottom right is a .30 broomhandle. Didn't notice your Hakim in your pics. Here's a pic of the "other" side of my room.

May 29, 2004, 01:06 PM
tele ....... got any room left to sit?? :D :neener:

Nice!! Ahhh ... the Grizzly .... don't remember the profile well enough to recognize one.

My Hakim is 2nd from left - top row .. but let's face it ... those thumbnails are really way too small!! I should redo that pic I think and increase sizes.

May 29, 2004, 01:20 PM
Umm... 2 problems w/ posting a pic for you...

I don't OWN an ultra-wide angle camera, and if I tried to get them all in a single pic W/ a regualr one, I'd have to stand so far away that you wouldn't be able to see them, they'd all look like toothpicks in the distance... (and I really am not exagerating...)

Assorted pre and post ARs, a couple Bulgie AKs, an MIA, several sigs, berettas, rugers, few shotguns, I think a 45-70 lever action... a Rem 700, 44cal rugar rifle, a few glocks, some Kimber 1911s, a taurus 357, a springfield 1911.. etc...

You want drool factor? Tamara has yet to post any of her pictures and she has some Smith revolvers and 1911s that will make you find religion.
And that is coming from somebody who is neither a 1911 or Smith Revolver afficianado.

Well, dang it, Tamara where's the pics? I want some eye candy.

"Excuse me, Mr. B00ridge, do you have any weapons in the truck?"

Actually that topic of conversation came up when we were driving over to our shootin area. Fortunately no one pulled us over!!

Funny thing is, you'd think that'd be enough toys....

nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................................................................

"Excuse me, Mr. B00ridge, do you have any weapons in the truck?"
"Sure, Officer, what do you need?"

ROTFLMAO. I'm the brother in law b00ridge refers to and, believe me, we had LOTS of fun that day.

More toys on the way, too! Woohoo!

B00ridge, Very cool pick.

Tamara, "Excuse me, Mr. B00ridge, do you have any weapons in the truck?"

How interesting that we should meet on another board. :D I ride a 2002 R1 and 1990 DR 350.

Anyway here is a pic of my (very) modest collection. The M1 and Thompson .45 are my favorites.

Here is an update to my collection, still pretty weak, but it is getting better. :D The guns are an old Springfield single shot, Maverick 88 Field 12 ga., and a WASR-10 Hi-Cap.

My little collection thus far:

June 24, 2004, 11:15 PM
My god.....the collections are amazing! Will any of your be my father? lol. Seriously did you guys win the lottery or something!?!? How long has it taken you go get a collection like that? (Perhaps I'm just used to my college student budget)

Nice guns everyone!

Your truck pic looks vaguely similar to the back of my Durango when me and my brother in law go to the range. We fill the back of my truck and now he is talking about upgrading his car and getting a Suburban thank goodness we need more room. That and he can start driving once in a while:D .

Here are a couple of my rifles. I haven't taken pictures of any of the rest of them, but I will soon.

Man.I gotta win the lottery....;)

June 25, 2004, 11:25 AM
It don't take the lottery. Just start when paper route money and mowing lawns finances your first. Then when you look in the mirror and all you see is gray hair you should have amassed quite a collection.

OMG - ya know - taking my pictures - i thought to myself - holy shiznit - this is a lot of guns....

then i cruise this thread and go... holy shiznit - i got catching up to do! (rofl)

While i could get a LOT of guns... i can't get my dreamers... (MP5 being the biggest) and i drool over that one guys collection =-)

I WANT one fo those safes i've seen at our local firearms dealers stores... its almost a walk in safe... and while we would always keep out the SD guns... it would be nice to have the rest locked up good and tight... =( (thieves suck)

All that being said - here is my (our) mediocre collection - kinda dark - figured that the flash didn't go off ment it was light enough <sigh>

Meh... I don't have enough room to get them all out and posed... I'll reuse two old pics that give a small sample:

July 20, 2004, 06:37 PM
I don't have them all in one place to take a nice family photo, but here are a few of the older siblings.

Here's my modest collection. The long guns along with the 1911 and Browning Buckmark are mine. The revolvers are my father's and the old .32 revolvers were my grandfather's.

Here's a fairly old pic of some of my stuff...

I've got a couple handguns since then:
