I don't know if this is true, but I heard from somebody else that I know on a weboard that the last transmission from Columbia was, "Houston, I think we have a problem....it's hotter than an oven in here." Very sad. I pray for the courageous souls that died on the Columbia shuttle. We all know they're at peace now.
God bless them.

uhhh... that is certainly not the case...
Housten reported to the Columbia that they were reading the loss of left tyre pressure sensor and asked for confimation.
Columbia repied: (Pilot, Willie McCool) "Roger, buh..."
Housten lost communications mid-syllable, and at the same time lost telemetry data and tracking data.
