Hi guys,
Any one ever heard of this company?
Good, bad???
http://www.tacticaltailor.com
I've got their rifle sling for a defensive shot gun and it's pretty handy. I'm looking at getting a thigh holster rig for a .44 Mag Mountain gun. There shop is not far from my work. They will do custom work. I'm just looking to see if there is anyone out there how has used stuff from these guys.
Any comments would be appreicated

From comments on this board and others Tactical Tailor appears to be one of the best tactical gear outfitters around. Unfortunately I don't have any of their products. You might try poking around on the http://lightfighter.net/eve/ubb.x boards for more info.

I have two of their discreet carry cases - they're GREAT stuff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to you.

Tactical Tailor makes great kit. Their slings and rifle cases are some of the best. Their holster is not bad either, but there are other brands that are a little better with thigh rigs.

Light fighter,
Like who?
The holster would be for a hunting revolver.
Is a thigh rig comfortable for hiking 2-3 miles or even mountain biking? I was going for their modular rig so I could attach it to the thigh rig, day pack or my belt.
With a handel like light fighter I was guess you have been on your fair share of ruck marches:D so you would know what is comfortable and what isn't.

If it is a for a revolver, you probably don't want to use a Tactical Tailor Model. I would look at a holster made specifically for your gun from Eagle Industries -- but be prepared to wait for it.
The purpose of a drop leg holster is to get your gun out of the way of your armor (when wearing bulky entry gear, it is near impossible to draw from a belt). If you aren't wearing heavy kit, you might be MUCH happier wearing your revolver on your hip, as opposed to your thigh.

I bought a pack from Tactical Tailor a year or two ago. It's a superb piece of gear. That's a pretty limited snapshot of what they sell, but if the pack is any indication of everything they make, I won't hesitate to buy any piece of gear from them.
Good Luck!

Lightfighter,
Were your comments made because the tactical tailor dosen't list revolver holsters? Well I have that taken care of because I work about a mile from the Tactical tailor so I would drop off my pistol for a few hours so they would make a holster for me. They have already said they could do it. I've done that before with Blade-tech who are also in town. I guess I'm lucky to have great companies close by.
Since you wouldn't advise a thigh rig for hiking, I might just get their holster. It's versitle enough to put on my belt or on the outside of my Camelback HAWG that I use as a daypack.
Thank you for the comments
