Diane Feinstein .Sarah Brady. Infamous names in our circles. They lead some of the most powerful anti-gun groups and movements in the nation. They have warped statistics, emotional argument, and ignorance of the masses on their side. However, you'd think that after a while in trying to find more "evidence" for their arguments, they would stumble upon or realize the fallacies in their positions. (I'm not talking about your average ignorant anti-gun joe or soccer mom, I'm talking the ringleaders). Do they really believe what they are doing will reduce crime and murders? Or, is there some underlying reason...elitism? I've been told that some of them actually have CCW licenses. Insecurity- they want to remove the People's final check to government power? Or something more sinster....?

Strap on your tin-foil hats.....

I have been wearing my tinfoil hat since '89, so I can't help you there.

Specifically, you got two separate entities.

Sarah....
It's just my DAO, but I think that she has found something for which she can make a living that doesn't involve work. When her hubby got shot, she fell into the proverbial ****** and the best way to make a living with a crippled husband was to get on the anti train.

Like that babe in New York, whose family got shot up on the train. Now she is a congresscritter. Pays perty good, don't it?

Dianne? She lives in a state full of flaming liberals (Ah, the land of fruits and nuts). She has found that she got and can keep her cushy job by being anti.

Hey, just tryin' to make a livin',

It's not prostition. Prostitution provides a service in which the customer pays and receives a service (perhaps unlawfully).

They're more like the old time "Snake Oil Salesman".

For the two described above.............I gotta say, they are just trying to make a living.

the "leaders"--except in their respective areas of expertise--i.e., Feinstein as a long-time politician, and Brady really just as a figurehead of national standing.

Brady's going to be dead pretty soon, anyway--but I really fear the symbolism the antis will get out of that death. Who was the actor, the Perry Mason Prosecuting Attorney, who did the Public Service Commercials while he was dying of lung cancer?

We should look hard at Josh Sugarman, is at the Violence Policy Center, then into the Johns Hopkins operations--the academics and physicians at that promote epidemiology as a model for the analysis of behavior, and then propose social solutions--the "Public Health Game".

Sugarman, as anyone who's seen Oleg's posters and the movies, knows that he came up with the basic strategy for the latest run at Gun Control, starting about 1987-88, IIRC. He appears publicly occasionally--I heard him on MPR in the recent past--but he appears to be the real genius behind this nightmare.

Then, we should look hard at the Foundations that fund the Brady Bunch/Million Moms, the VPC, and the related operations.

Throw in the liberal press bias, and it is a real nightmare. This spring, with some of the latest RTC victories, is the first time I sense that we have finally started making some real headway--after all, we've seen newspapers finally start printing some pro-gun/anti AWB opinion, and even an editorial or two that finally admit the AWB is based on a faulty model of logic.

A couple of weeks ago a few of us created such a stink in the MPR News Forums about a faulty report on Minnesota Public Radio that the offending article was removed from the MPR News Web Site. Eightteen months of fighting in those liberal forums has resulted in some headway, I think.

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble--but add those names I mentioned to the list, and let's flesh them out.

Do they really believe what they are doing will reduce crime and murders?

Not for a nanosecond.

If they were even remotely concerned about crime and violence, they'd advocate the obvious solution: criminal control.

Their goal is socialism. They can't achieve it as long as we commoners are allowed to speak our minds and remain armed.
