need some help.....

Just got some Hienie sights for my G17 and I installed the rear with a brass punch and it might not be properlly sighted in. It is kind of hard to get exact zero with a punch!
Which tool will work with the Hienie sights? Factory Glock, Glockmiester, or MGW?
Also, the front sight is installed using a hex small screw. I installed it with plyers and it came loose after a few hundred rounds. I think i might not be tightened it enough. I need to get the proper tool and loc-tite it.
Who sells the proper front nut to properlly install it? The slide is too narrow to use any nut i have now
Thanks for all the help.

Twice I’ve performed the same exact task that you described. The first time I did it I bought the tools I needed from Brownells. I don’t know if it was worth it, but I like doing things myself so in that respect it was worth it.
The first tool is the press. I have a Pi tool, which is still listed but no longer available. Not to worry though…Brownells has many others like it. The “Glock” compatible sight tools have a 54 degree cut on one side to fit the Glock sight, and a 90 degree cut on the side to fit all other sights. The 54 degree cut is not really needed, so don’t pay for it if you don’t have to. You don’t need it because the Glock sight slides more easily than other sights, and you’re probably removing a Glock sight to replace it with something better anyways.

I believe Pi replaced the above tool with their newer universal sight tool below.

This second tool is also a Pi tool and it fits the Hienie nut perfectly. The pin side is the right size to push out the pins holding your Glock together. Always use loctite on the bolt-on front sights.

Good luck!
