Yes. But if the magazine holds more than 10rnds, the mag must stay behind. Unless of course you disassemble the mag and ship pieces seperately. Then it is considered as replacement parts but can not be reassembled.

I don't think so, as it is an AK series type weapon.
Although legally the court overturned the "series" ruling. try finding a FFL to do the transfer.
Let me know as I'd like a Tokarev myself

Do you mean in the eyes of the CA gov, or are you thinking of a different rifle? I don't see much similarity between them other than the fact that they're both Russian designs.

California prohibits AK receivers of all types, by name. I do not know if the SVT is included. I would recommend checking out Calguns (http://www.calguns.net) for PRK-specifics; overall, they're a knowlegable bunch.

You guys are thinking of the Dragunov. The Tokarev is nothing close to an AK design. In fact it's considered Russia's Garand. Search Google for pics and you will see what I mean. In fact, my neighbor just picked one up at a gunshow here in Kali a couple of months ago and more were for sale.
