Kid n Dad both drew Elk and Deer in GMU 461 Private Land Hunt. Any one else get any news on applications?

Well, we all drew (8 of us I think,) except one son-in-law who drew elk but not deer. I drew buck deer on my own property (go figure)

Antelope results not out yet, I think the drawing is the 8th.

I drew a deer tag. I forget which unit, but it's just outside Gunnison. I'm so excited. This is the first tag I have have ever drawn anywhere. Although, I've only been trying for three years in both Colorado for deer and in Texas for special hunts. It'd be iceing on the cake to draw a Texas hunt this year too. *crossing fingers now*:cool:

I got a Cow Tag. :D for Area 77 in Oct.

Hopefully this year will be a lot better then last year, I was walking around in shorts.

LOL, I relate to the shorts! Screwball thing on Private Land in 461, the seasons go from Seo 1 - Jan 31, 05.....that's not a misprint! They really want some heard thinning.

I drew my Elk(cow) in unit 80,and a doe tag on Larry A. place. Not sure how that will work out,last time Sandy told me I could hunt there but I couldn't shoot anything.Maybe there's a different attitude since the Deer were eating all her tomatoes a couple years ago.If I can't hunt there I know I'll at least get to eat a few good meals there! All is not lost. S.R.
