Anyone w/ experience removing the green "nipple" (the part you push the cartridge into for filling) from the Redding 10x powder measure?

I would like to attach my new powder measure to the top of the Lyman flowthrough die.

Unfortunately, the redding 10x can't be screwed into the top of the die as designed, due to the darn powder "nipple".

Is there a way to remove the "nipple" without damaging it?
Is there a way to jury rig the powder measure for attachment to the lyman flow thru die without removing the green "nipple"?

I believe the Redding drop tubes are pressed in at the factory. To remove these I think I grabbed the tube with pliers and yanked it out. I don't think you can reinstall these once removed. As far as screwing the powder measure to a Lyman flowthrough die I am not sure. I would suggest trying. If this doesn't work you can install Sinclair inserts and drop tubes and still use your powder measure by its self. Check out Sinclair International on the web and contact them to be sure. Hope this helps.

Hello Sir:
I just bought a new plastic downspout tube for mine. I had to first break it off and then carefully pry the rest out with a screwdriver. Just be careful you don't damage the threads. It's pretty simple to get out without any problem. There is no other way, as they are tapped in with a rubber hammer. It's a slight tapered fit so it will stay in. I hope that this helps out. Have a good day.

Sincerely, Harley
