I have found the following scopes for about the same price: NIKON BUCKMASTER 4.5-14X40, Bushnell Elite 3200 4-12X40 A/O, Leupold Rifleman 4-12X, or a Leupold VXI 4x12x40. Which one is the best for the money (about $250)?

Also, would I be better off with a 3-9 or 4-12? It will be used for target shooting to about 500yrds.
