- Massad Ayoob

Haha I get it! Cause Glocks aren't guns at all! lol- funny stuff :D

"Better to be carried by 6 than judged by 12" or maybe it was the other way around. A cool quote neverthless.

Lendringser's old sig line from the TFL days is one of my all-time favorites. It's a quote from Tolkien's "The Two Towers" about not loving weapons but that which they defend. That about sums it up for me, really (although I sure do love my Garand!).

"Peace Through Firepower." Quote from a Captain I worked for back in 75.

One of my favs. It was on his official notepads for sending memos to the S1 through S4 staff I worked with. I was in S3.

I've allways liked this one from TFL alum Jim Peel.

Gun Control: The premise that a woman found in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is morally superior to allowing that same woman to defend her life with a firearm.

If this doesn't make you think, you're a blissninnie.

I used to have a quote from the movie "1776" in my e-mail signature that I still love:

"I have come to the conclusion that ONE useless man is called a Disgrace.. theat TWO are called a LAW FIRM and that THREE or MORE become a CONGRESS!"

The quote is attributed to John Adams who I believe is one of the most under recognized presidents we ever had.

From some guy on another site

Happiness is one ragged hole, or a bucket of fried chicken

Hard to argue with that...

Wait a tick...another good one:

The Second Ammendment IS Homeland Security.

I always liked the one Law Dog had:

"Bother," said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

:D :D :D

February 12, 2003, 09:02 AM
My sister liked that Pooh line as well...so she drew a graphic to go with it (I posted this back on TFL at the time). :)

That's an awsome drawing Ian.

I have been on a quest for the ultimate sig line. Tough when so little is forced to mean so much!

From the Mall Ninja thread:

"If Plan A is taking multiple .308 hits to your back, you might want to consider a Plan B. Good luck."

Gun control is not about GUNS. It is about CONTROL.

Rehabilitation through reincarnation.

I'm not sure if you noticed..But Massad Ayoob is a HUGE fan of Glocks...read some of his books or some of his articals before you say something dumb.

Among my favorites are those pax uses because she always tailors them to fit her posts.

My least favorites are those that run several lines instead of being succinct.

My absolute favorite is the one I use.

Signatures I have seen:

If guns cause crime, then cameras cause porn!

If guns cause crime, then pencils cause spelling mistakes, trailer parks cause tornadoes, and spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

You can have my guns -- bullets first.

Gun control is using both hands.

White, heterosexual, meat-eating, gun-owning, Christian conservative. Any questions?

If they outlaw guns, can we use swords?

God, Guns, and Guts made America free.

Here's a picture of him with the best Glock ever made. :D

I always liked the old Clint line from some movie I can't remember:

Every day above ground is a good day.

February 12, 2003, 09:51 PM
I think this was from someone on this board, but:

Gun Control: I'll control my gun, you control yours.

Saw this just today and it cracked me up:

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.
And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
--Jack Handy

Compromise is never anything but an ignoble truce between the duty of a man and the terror of a coward.
~ Reginald W. Kaufman ~

"We all do no end of feeling, and we mistake it for thinking."
~Mark Twain

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed—and hence clamorous to be led to safety—by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
-H.L. Mencken

From Les Miserables:
Damn their warnings, damn their lies They will see the people rise!

Let others rise, to take our place, until the Earth is free!

People who make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable.

" The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men. "

"The Earth is degenerating today. Bribery and corruption abound. Children no longer obey their parents, every man wants to write a book, and it is evident that the end of the world is fast approaching."

"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man brave, hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
Mark Twain
