I really like the Springfield, Ultra Compact 9mm. I would like to hear from those with knowledge about this gun. I would like to know the good points and well as the bad. Currently I have a springfield XD9 Subcompact and a Kahr MK9.

I have one.
Pro: Light, compact, mild recoil, standard 1911 controls.
Con: Mine took a little gunsmithing to get it to suit me; rework integral ramp into a feed ramp, single sided safety, de-ILS, standard thickness grips.
Conclusion: I would like to have a full size LW 9mm, but do not know of one on the market from SA or other.

Specs at that URL say "38 ounces."
I've got one of those, a Colt.
I would be interested in a lightweight 5" 9mm, probably around 30-32 ounces. Kimber says they are going to make a Tactical Pro 4" 9mm but not a full size G.M.
I would have one built up but Caspian has quit making aluminum receivers in favor of titanium; which is more expensive, harder to work, and heavier.

XD Shooter, I have one and love it.
All the benefits of a 1911 with the pleasant recoil of a 9mm.
The 3.5" barrel makes this a perfect carry pistol. It weighs 28oz empty.
I have two eigth round mags and three 9-round mags that I carry for spares.

It is a hoot to shoot. After the break-in, it feeds everything well except reloads.

Today's well engineered 9mm ammunition makes this a very viable
self-defense round. It's not your dad's 9mm anymore, some rounds are hot and designed to expand very reliably (Gold-Dot, DPX etc)

I have owned 1911 .45's mostly Kimber.
This little 1911 9mm is just plain fun and a great choice if there's a ladys who wants a flat, compact 1911.

Personally, I like the 1911 platform.
This is a good choice for an all round carry and range gun.

I like mine although I'm not through breaking mine in. No complaints except it has stalled on some HP ammo. Hoping that will go away with some fluff and buff.

Titanium is hard to work, expensive to buy, and denser than aluminum; increasing both cost and weight. I think titanium in firearms is a dead end gimmick.

The forthcoming Scandium (aluminum alloy) S&W "Commander" is more interesting to me. Now if I could get it in 5" 9mm...
