Actually, you have to give them some credit. It takes a certain amount of testicular fortitude to stand beside and even protect a dictator, all in the interests of maintaining a good trading relationship. The amount of fortitude increases when you consider that france and germany have both been supplying Iraq with the means of killing off large percentages of the middle east.
