here's some intersting arms found at the Taurus Brasil website Taurus (http://taurus.com.br)

the first is a select-fire (!) longarm in .30 carbine (!!), based on the SIG-Famae SG540 assault rifle (!!!) (FAMAE is a Chilean company that builds a SIG-designed guns under license)

nice gun, gas operated and selectfire... The M1 Carbine at ultima.

the second is the semi-automatic only, simple blowback carbine in ... .40S&W, and based on the FAMAE SAF submachine gun, which, in turn, is losely based on the SIG SG-540...

I'd be satisfied if they'd just upgrade their .22mag pump rifle to take .357Mag & .32Mag...:D

Interesting. I always thought it was just the U.S. who had a facination for .30 carbine and 40S&W.
