I posted a thread last week.

My present U.S. Senator, John Breaux, voted to renew the AWB and kill tort reform. He Retired.

I now chair the David Vitter for U.S. Senate Committee in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. David is running for the seat being vacated by John Breaux. As you know, John Breaux supports the renewal of the AWB and helped kill the tort reform bill which would have helped prevent frivilous lawsuits against gun makers.

Vitter is the only candidate with an "A" rating by both GOA and the NRA. His main opponent has a "C" rating with GOA.

If you want to see our 2nd Amendment rights protected, I need your help.

Last week I got zero responses. None. Nada. Zilch.

We have people going off daily about the AWB and the Second amendment. I made a commitment to replace a bad U.S. Senator with a Great One and asked for help.

Do you want to talk about it, or do you want to do something?

Matthew

What is it you would like people to do?

Asking for what you want will get you farther than complaining that no one is stepping up.

Thank-You Don, for your reply.

If you live in Louisiana, It is time to board the Vitter train! We will do what is necessary to at long last secure this U.S. Senate seat for the RKBA!

Wherever you reside, the time is NOW to recommit yourself to our endeavour. The presidential candidates are waffling so fast that it make me dizzy to watch.

Victory must be had in the Congress! It's now or never. Freedom won't wait. Contact me about how to help. We need volunteers willing to distribute sings and fliers, people to work phone banks, and people just willing to spread the word about David Vitter and his commitment to RKBA.

Your future constituents are your best resource. I wrote a "Beginner's Guide to Running for Office". I can post it here if anyone would like me to.

An article called "Beginner's Guide to Running for Office"? That title suggests the audience might be interested in running for the local school board or city council, maybe even for representative in the state government.

I doubt if there are many "beginners" that are seriously campaigning for the U.S. Senate.

Or is it for more than just rookies?

Regards.

E36M3, sure - please post the writing. Not as a reply in this thread, but probably as a new thread in this forum. Who knows, but maybe some unexpected "good" will come of it.

Regards.

David's website is still being developed and the particulars about his pro gun beliefs are not yet on it. He is currently a U.S. Congressman. Here is a link to the GOA report on his voting record: http://www.gunowners.org/cgv.htm

Enter 70002 as the zip code and scroll down to "house votes" to get David's voting record.

Appologies for the implication. You're correct - my little guide is really for those who'd like to run for office (from school board to "whatever") and have no experience. I didn't mean to imply anything although any candidate at any level might find my thoughts worthwhile. I'll start a new thread after dinner. My wife's yelling at me right at this exact second.
