If it had a 3 or 4 inch barrel and a more reasonable price tag, it'd be worth considering. But with that short a barrel, don't think so.

Glocks and hi-points are off the hook as the worlds worse looking guns:)

Umm, is that a one inch barrel? Well... maybe it'll still toss bullets faster than one could throw 'em, but I doubt by much. :D

Is it ugly? Maybe, it does kind of grow on you I guess. Do I need it? Nope. Will it have mass appeal? Nope. Will I get one? Nope. Am I glad it's being made? Absolutely. I'm glad to see any new ideas brought to revolvers. This one may not be to your particular liking, but perhaps the next one will, who knows? At least it's something new and different.

Still might, if it had a 3" bbl and a (FAR) lower price. for now, though, my interest is purely academic - - -
Has anyone seen the spec sheet on this piece? How long IS the barrel, and what is the weight?
Thanks,
Johnny

One thing I did notice is that this 625 actually has the shorter cylinder extended forcing cone of some older S/W 45 ACP's. While I find it a bit ugly as well, I can see the point in doing it that way.
Also you add that length into the picture and I bet it's a 2 1/2" bbl

Definately ugly - but might work in the close confines of a airliner cockpit. Anyone know whether S&W might be thinking of marketing this to commercial pilots? Thought they were working on a "Pilot's Prototype" that was similar to this...

OK, now if I can just get a Titanium Cylinder, 3-inch barrel and a bobbed hammer, I’d have the gun I’ve been dreaming of for the last 5 years.
