So one of my distant cousins is super diver down on the redneck riviera around Pensacola and the subject of bang sticks/powerheads came up.

He claims the MOST common ones sold are 44 and 357 magnum... and that they use live rounds instead of blanks. He uses one made for .223!

Claims he killed a 7 foot bullshark that mistook his flipper for a fish.

And he's never met ANYONE who used a Glock underwater.

Got one in 44 mag, my dad made it years ago. He hit a grouper one time with it off the coast of North Carolina and just knocked the scales off it, he was a big bastard!! I’ve shot a few car doors, buildings with it while diving in quarries.
