I need some help, (aside from mental) as I know nothing about holster options for revolvers. I am looking for a holster for my 4 5/8" Super Blackhawk. I am looking for a "working" farm holster so that I can carry it while I am working in the woods, at the farm, etc. I currently use a flap crossdraw affair, but it does not ride well in the truck or tractor. Ideally I would like something that would ride strong side, high enough that I could drive a tractor or pickup and it not be in the way, It would need to be pretty good at holding the pistol in place. Let me know what might work for me.

The Mernickle FC2 looks like what I might be looking for. Does anyone have one of these?

I am not a Mernickle fan. I suggest Big Ed at San Pedro. Goooood! www.sanpedrosaddlery.com

I am a big Mernickle fan, more so since he's moved to the U.S. He does great work, and is really nice to talk to. For a lower priced option, I'd recommend something from El Paso Saddlery. www.epsaddlery.com

I am also a fan of Mernickle Holsters. The PS6-SA is normal carry rig. It rides high and tight. I really don't think there is a better holster for normal wear.
