I'm curious about firearms training schools in or near Ft. Collins CO. or the DFW areas (something more than "The bullet comes out of this end" kind of schooling!)
I picked these two areas because we have friends / reliatves living there, give the wife something to do while I was playing.

Hunt up the IPSC and IDPA websites. You can find what towns near you have local clubs. You can then find when they have matches.

You can first go as a spectator and do a lot of brain-picking as well as seeing what experienced shooters are using for gun and gear.

IDPA is more into self-defense tactical, but shooting is shooting. Not all IPSC guys use race-guns and magic holsters.

Try Powdrehorn Ranch (http://www.powderhornedge.com/training.htm)
Additional Info is here: Instructors (http://www.powderhornedge.com/instructors.htm)

I beleive that no better training can be found in Texas, Colorado, or any point inbetween.

Sisco, have you tried DTI's website? Isn't Farnam from Red? I know he travels a lot.

As big a city as Dallas is, I would think many instructors would stop by.
