I guess you are referring to the very last paragraph which, by the way, has nothing to do with the story except that a box cutter was used. This story does not fit into the 'school violence' genre if you ask me. The teacher was wrong nonetheless.

Well, that was my point excactly, no guns and yet kids are still killing each other. Forget the apolgy in blood part, but how can

no fit in the "school violence" category. Take away guns, criminals are still criminals, they just use other tools.
But wait, I tought if you take away the guns, people magically became civil, loved each other, and no one died from un-natural causes any more.
