Well, we will see if the assault weapon ban is reinstituted again before the election probably. Then we will see if your pal Bush is a friend or not. I have a feeling he will just sign the ban and be done with it, leaving us gun owners out in the breeze.

Its not really that funny... in fact its kind of lame... wouldnt Kerry try to ban guns in the middle east 1st? I dont think theres been a lot of stabbings in the news from that region...

I suspect the cartoonist was refering to the current head-chopping craze across the pond.

The cartoon is obviously in reference to the recent beheadings.....and the cartoonist's view on how Kerry would respond to the question, in jest.

Unfortunately, that is probably just how Effin would respond. :uhoh:

That is my take as well....I thought it was obvious, but some people here are just too partisan to see humor in BOTH of the major candidates.

I dunno... i think that the beheadings are disgusting and i certainly wouldnt be low enough to use them in this way to bismirch the future president. Reminds me of all the 9/11 Bush commericals, talk about profiteering from misfortune jesus.. 9/11 was the best thing that ever happend to Bushs presidency and he knows it.

Either way, lets all just hold our tounges and see if Bush renews the AWB, then we will see if we should only be making jokes about Kerry... at least he is honest about his positions though.

William the Juvenile,
If he can pull the wool over enough people's eyes - as he obviously has yours - he MAY BE the next president. It's hard for me to believe, though, that there are that many out there who can't see him for what he is.
Damnation, look at his record, his life...listen to the man talk.
I can see it now: I pledge allegience to the flag of the United Nations, one nation under France...:what:

And is there any doubt that kerry will vote for a renewal and would sign it if he were president. . . you know, since he said he would.

Why is his comment ignorant? Bush even said he would sign the amendment if it hit his desk. He proclaimed this in his reelection and said that he would sign no new legislation regarding firearms. If he signed the extension he would be keeping his word on both.

Why is his comment ignorant? Because I didn't say anything about Bush!!!! He accused me of being a Bush supporter because I posted this cartoon. It is the assumption that I am a Bush supporter that shows ignorance.
edited for clarity.
