In GD & LP mainly. Over the past week or two this has seemed to get much worse than normal (the History Channel poll being the most recent unbelievable example, 6 threads at last count). I'm not sure what can be done about it short of flogging repeat offenders around the square, but it is just annoying spending my limited time here opening up threads (usually with vague titles) that have the same article as a thread that I just read and possibly responded to.

I know that the mods have better things to do than run around closing and combining threads, but perhaps a sticky thread requesting people to at least try to see if what they want to post is already being discussed (of course, as with many other things, the people who most need to hear the message won't be the ones that get it) might help with it.

Ok, I feel better now. :D Either I'm turning into a curmudgeon or it is cabin fever and spring needs to get here so I can go outside and play more often.
