I take it from your name, FedDC, that you are in favor of this legislation for very personal reasons. Does the new legislation trump DC law??? I am not in favor of putting one citizens rights above another's. We should all be pushing for every law-abiding citizens to have the right to carry via state's mandates, not anything doled out by the Fed. Get on our team, will ya???

I am not in favor of putting one citizens rights above another's. We should all be pushing for every law-abiding citizens to have the right to carry via state's mandates, not anything doled out by the Fed. I agree, but think about it incrementally. A federal CCW law won't pass, but state by state and we're three quarters there. Letting cops CCW anywhere, will help us in the long run. Then we can argue, if they can, why can't we? All in due time of course.
