Anyone no how this guy is going to respect the civil right to keep and bear arms?
I hear he is a active shooter, and just recently joined SASS, no.60000.

He trampled on ranchers property rights and surface rights in the Diamond Bar Ranch issue with Kit & Sherry Laney and the forest service. Told or allowed the N.M.Livestock board to ignore state law so the US Forest service could confiscate and ship their cattle more easily.

He's a democrat and was ambasador to the UN. Yea I know.

He did sign a Concealed Carry law when it came to his desk.

He, through his administration, insisted on most of the CRAP that makes New Mexico's CCW statute one of (if not the most) restrictive statutes in America. Richardson is NO friend of gun ownership.

Agree with F4GIB. Although I've been in NC for some time, I grew up in NM and am very familiar with Bill Richardson. He pretends well and believes that guns ownership should be restricted.

Harve - How do you like living in a Ghost Town? Your population above 250 yet? :D

Too bad shooting organizations and gun rights organizations do not kick out members that do not share their views about the 2nd Amendment.

Could you see what would happen if it did.
SASS kicks out Bill Richardson because of his gun stance.
Then out of spite, Bill Richardson starts Single Action Shooters Against Private Gun Ownership.

If Richardson is a member of SASS, it is because he needs some pro-2 bonafides. I don't think for a minute he is pro-2.

This is the same Bill Richardson of the dept of Energy that permitted the Chinese to abscond with 50+ years of nuclear secrets? Evidently the guy likes people to have access to things that go bang. Trouble is it ain't US citizens and it ain't guns.

I think the population is more like 50, not counting dogs, cats, chickens, horses, or cows.

f4GIB is wrong on one major thing.

Richardson's administration did not do anything to make the concealed carry law more difficult or restrictive. That was the idiots in the Legislature. Richardson did tell the Legislature that there were 18 pieces of legislation that he wanted through (in '03), and CCW was one of them. Fatso didn't care about the form, and did not harm the legislation. (My wife and I were both in SF, analyzing bills when this was going on, and my wife was in the Roundhouse every day testifying - so forgive me if I act as if I know more about what happened than some of y'all.)

Do I think Hog Jowls is a political opportunist who's only cruising for an NRA "A" rating to help himself down the road? Sure. Did I vote for him? No (I'm a solid R - a rarity here in the Land of Enchantment).

I've never heard him shooting anything, fwiw, and I'm pretty involved in the shooting sports hereabouts. The SASS membership probably just has something to do with the End of the Trail moving to Estancia.

Why not count them? If they're registered Democrats, they can vote, can't they?

It is funny how the Democrats always find those extra votes laying around, just waiting to be counted. "How many do you need?" is one of the more memorable quotes. Richardson is a Clinton wannabe, all things to all people as long as it gets him elected.

My biggest gripe with Governor Bill is the fact that he appointed the most rabidly insane hater of gun owner rights, John Denko, to be the head of the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
